About Max
I’m running for school board for three primary reasons:
i) To ensure positive academic outcomes for all children in the district,
ii) to make sure that all students and families are welcomed into the Piedmont community and made to feel that they belong,
iii) to provide pragmatic, results-based decision making at the district level.
I grew up in Piedmont, am a proud graduate of PHS, and have had a varied career in media and technology (working most recently for Netflix and Apple). I now run my own small business advising startups. I live in the house I grew up in with my wife Tory who was formerly a Broadway performer and is now active in philanthropy and our 8 year old twins who are 3rd graders at Wildwood. I have been active in the Piedmont Education Foundation as a member of the board and an executive committee member, as well as the Wildwood Dads Club and am on the board of multiple non-profits. These experiences have well-prepared me to understand the needs and challenges of the district and will be invaluable in achieving success for all students, parents, and stakeholders in PUSD.
